Oceans

As part of the renewal of the UK-COL Partnership for Sustainable Growth, the UK extended its areas of cooperation with Colombia to oceans and coastal ecosystems. Under the umbrella of the UK Blue Planet Fund, our programs support the protection of the marine environment and poverty reduction by focusing on 4 main themes: biodiversity, climate change, marine pollution and sustainable seafood. In particular, we work in favor of marine protected areas and their governance, critical habitats for coastal resilience such as mangroves and corals, blue economy, sustainable livelihoods and marine pollution.
